4 Detox Smoothies to Reset Your Body

Feeling bloated and slow from all of those holiday goodies? Then try a detox smoothie! Detox smoothies are an easy and delicious way to flush your body of toxins and help jumpstart a healthy metabolism. The typical detox smoothie recipe is full of vitamins, antioxidants, fiber, and other healthful nutrients giving your body a detoxifying flush. Eating this way will not only reset your system but your taste buds too! After a cleanse you will notice that you crave cleaner foods, feel less tired, and are more willing to make healthier life choices. Here are 4 of my favorite detox smoothie recipes to help jump start your new year!

Raspberry Razzle

This smoothie is one of my go-to’s when I’m feeling sluggish and bloated. I originally got the recipe from the Dr.Oz cleanse, which I would 100% recommend if you’re looking to reset your body after a period of bad eating and want to get back on track!

1 Cup of Water

1 Tbs. of Flaxseed Oil

1 Cup of Raspberries

1 Banana

1/4 Cup of Spinach

1 Tbs. of Almond Butter

1 Tsp Lemon Juice

Blueberry Blast

Another one of my favorites from the Dr. Oz cleanses where you drink three smoothies per day for three days while drinking lots of green tea and water to flush you out. His recipe calls for 1/4 of an avocado, but I’ve left that out since I’m allergic to the latex in avocados.

1 1/2 Cups of Coconut Water

1 Cup of Blueberries

1/2 Cup of Mango

1 Cup of Kale

1 Tbs. of  Lemon Juice

1 Tsp. of Cayenne Pepper

1 Tbs. of Flaxseed Oil

Pineapple Punch

Don’t let the tofu freak you out! The pineapple, ginger, and mint in this smoothie will kick start your immune system and help you fend off sniffles and tummy bugs.

1 Cup of Chopped Pineapple

1/2 Cup of Tofu

3 Cups of Unsweetened Vanilla Soy Milk

1 Tsp. of Freshly Grated Ginger

3 Mint leaves

1 Tbs. of Flaxseed Oil

Apple Berry Bonanza

1 Cup of Mixed Berries (like raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries)

1 Large Apple

2 Cups of Spinach

1 Cup of Unsweetened Almond Milk

1 Tbs. of Flaxseed Oil
